Most privacy policies explain what data a company takes. Ours is short, because we don't take any.
Desk sends nothing about you or your browsing back to us. No usage stats, no crash fingerprints, no "anonymous" identifiers. The browser simply has no reporting code in it.
History, bookmarks, notes, to-dos, annotations, clipboard drawer, timers, themes. All stored on your device. There's no Desk cloud and no sync server to breach.
You never sign in to Desk. There is no profile of you on our side because there is no "our side".
Ad and tracker blocking (EasyList, EasyPrivacy and uBlock Origin filter lists) ships enabled. Trackers are stopped at the network level before they load.
Our private mode runs in a fully separate session partition. When the window closes, its cookies, storage and history are gone. They were never written to your main profile.
Clear cookies on exit, block third-party cookies, send Do Not Track, wipe everything with one click. The controls are built in and honest.
What Desk stores on your device: your browsing history, bookmarks, downloads list, site permissions, notes and to-dos, Scholar Mode annotations, clipboard drawer items, theme settings and timer history. All of it is local files under your user profile. Uninstalling Desk (or using its clear-data controls) removes it.
What leaves your device: only the traffic you generate by browsing: requests to the websites you visit, your chosen search engine, and periodic downloads of ad-filter lists from their public sources (EasyList, EasyPrivacy, uBlock Origin). Weather widgets fetch a forecast for the location you configure. None of these requests are routed through us.
What we receive: if you email us to join the alpha or give feedback, we get your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. We don't add you to marketing lists and we don't share it.
Third-party services you opt into: features like AI search in the sidebar or Bitwarden vault access connect you directly to those providers under their own terms. Desk just hosts the window. It doesn't sit in the middle reading anything.
Changes: if any of this ever changes, we'll say so plainly on this page and in the release notes, not bury it in legalese.
